Hello Everyone I am SeekerOfTruth from NJ by way of the Bronx. I recently have become more serious about researching and learning about my African heritage. All throughout high school All I learned was about European accomplishments and European history. Everything from Alexander the Great all the way down to Chopin. It became increasingly frustrating when the only times African and history were mentioned in the same sentence was during lectures on slavery and a little bit on Egypt. As expected it was never about the Egypt we know but of a "white" Egypt. Other events also transpired that brought me to this place where I am today. Thirsty and just wanting to seek the truth. I hope to learn much from everyone on the board with a genuine agenda.

Welome and like I have said often we learn as we teach even from the very questions asked. Thank you. The first question I want to ask is what books should I start out reading before I advance to other books and scholarly papers. Well I would start out with books like Blacks in Science ancient and Modern and The African Origins Of Civilization as both contains info on other civilizations in Africa than just Kemet AKA Egypt, both books are a little dated but makes good introduction to Africans civ.and are classics in my view. One more thing please study African cultures and Civilizations in it's own right and not just for comparing to other parts of the globe, the whole issue of who the ancient Kemetians were has been dealt with to death, but population genetics is important a lot of info is covered here, and there is a lot of reading to be done on this site depending on what areas you want to go to I can point you in the right direction.

Great. I already have some books here and I just ordered Blacks in Science today for just $5! But I was hoping to go down the path of studying the Moors and other genetic studies as suggested. Are there any other references you can refer me to that deal with genetics?

For that had better check with our resident Geneticist Zarahan but the Moors I say go with the Golden Age Of The Moors by Van Sertima or you can start off here egyptsearchreloaded.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=bag&action=display&thread=25A great discussion on who the Moors were as you do research you will find folks out there who will try to obscure who these people the link above will show you what to look out for in their fraudulent claims.

Hey everyone. As you can tell by my name I'm curious about africa. Actually, overwhelmingly passionate is more correct. I've been interested in the social sciences since a child and at first I mainly read about euro history. That was probably because it was what I was most familiar with. But I figured I had to focus my studies on one area since it would be impossible to gain expert knowledge on every region of the world. I chose africa since it's where my ancestors are from and I didn't know that much about it. It's been a great experience since and I've learned so much over the years studying the most maligned and misunderstood continent/ppl of recent times.
This forum is great and breath of fresh air from the old ES site that has too much ideological garbage messing up the good stuff. Big thanks to all who created this forum.

Hello everyone, I actually found this site, by looking at Egyptsearch, I got my interest into the African mystery and history from my father. WHen growing up, I would always see the many books on his book shelf. But like any wild kild, the book did not interest me as much as fooling around lol. I was never interested in the history that was taught in our schools i only learned about black achievement once a year, It wasnt until I was 19 when i began my college career did i begin to pick up my fathers books. It was then that I realized, when my dad urged me to pick up a book what he ment. I would see most of his books were history related and since school history was boring i figured his books would be no different. SO i mainly stayed on nature books, outdoor books, and fictionbooks. I was so wrong. When i began to look at his books, i felt like i literally had wasted 19 years of my entire life. I felt a deep connection when reading these books, because it made sense, not the bullshit half assed stories my teacher was telling me. I felt used and lied to by the inhumane white devils that run our education system. This lead to me raiding my fathers bookshelf for everything, and anything BLACK! My lust for truth never ends and the caucasoid with his vicious cavebeast mentality, will never stop supressing truth and the great majestic legacy of the black man, until the black man is officially brain dead once again.

First of all I would like to say how thankful I am for such an informative site. I've learned more here than all my high school history classes combined. I have just been reading the new threads from time to time for a couple of months before registering to finally become a member. My interest with African history came during my junior year of college. I attended high school (mostly white), and attended college(mostly white) without really knowing about self. And as I seemed to be doing well in regards to education out of high school I noticed how many of the friends I grew up with didn't have much of an interest in education and then it clicked. The reason is because the education system within this country, USA, makes sure that we as black people do NOT acquire a thorough notion of self because that would destroy the entire program of the powers that be in this country. So here I am soaking up knowledge every way I can so that I actually go about pursuing my craft and learning new things while understanding that I stand on the shoulders of African giants, who trailblazed the way for civilization. I'm also very interested in how Freemasonry, an organization coincidentally run by white males mainly, has to do with the hiding of African, particularly Egyptian & Ethiopian history. I remember watching the movie 'National Treasure' and watching the old white man, who was a Freemason, say that their secrecy was in order to uphold the "Status Quo". I don't believe EVERYTHING I see on television but that pretty much sums it all up. After centuries of demonizing, demoralizing, and straight up lying on people of African decent, if the world found out about the greatness of OUR African story, the African's role in the foundation of Ancient Egyptian/Ethiopian history, the European world would be flipped upside down and globally people would be aware that every indication of civilization is attributed to the Black man, the very ones who were demonized for all the wrong reasons. so once again thank you for all the great work, and I hope to add quality topics to this forum in the near future as well.
