This was a leader of Men, a powerful reminder of what a person's character ought to be.

Yup, he wasn't a lackey like alex haley and some of those other fools who sold out.
When the fbi slime asks for malcolm's # and malcolm gives him and says that's like telling you the sun rises in the east, lol. Then that slimy fbi agent says "no comment", hahaaa. I love how he also calls them out on insulting his intelligence. Character to the utmost. His break with elijah muhammad over principles too showed his character.

Why did you say Alex Haley was a sell out,he was an author and a journalist and not a political leader and shaker, unless he did something that I am not aware of. Regarding Malcolm I can find no political or religious leader today that can hold a candle next to him.

Well guess I can't say Haley was sellout cuz he didn't get paid or some other reward that I know of but he was a collaborator with the fbi i.e. one of its informants on ppl in the black community who the fbi considered a threat, in other words, any black person who stood up for black rights. He gave them info on malcolm x too and was collaborating with them while taking notes from malcolm to write his autobiography i believe, smh. I think I heard about this from the professor that wrote a book on malcolm a few yrs ago but i'm not sure. Still Haley is one of many fbi informants based on fbi docs.

Huh! really I didn't know that, disappointing indeed, need to research more on the man's actions.

Yea, the fbi seemed to have been very good at getting informants against the black community. Many of these informants we may never know because they can only be found out from docs that classified. You can get some of these docs from requests based on the freedom of information act but you'd have to know what docs specifically to request. Carlos Moore (professor and left-winger/former communist) mentioned in his autobio about filing a freedom of info act request and being shocked at the ppl who were informing on him.
Btw, you should add his autobio to your reading list. It's called "Pichon". He's cuban of jacan descent and has had a very interesting life. He really sets the story straight too on the left's penchant to praise the castro regime as some miraculous bringer of equality for afrocubans.
