Murdoch is an idiot.
I've already said Egyptians weren't white. But it's worth remembering that Egypt is right in the way between Africa and Eurasia. If you want a land route out of Africa, Egypt is it. It's as absurd to think they were identical to sub-Saharan Africans as it is to think they were identical to (for instance) Greeks.
And the cultural influence of Egypt throughout the region cannot be denied. We even owe our alphabet to them, ultimately.

Also have you ever heard of the Mountains of the Moon? They considered that their ancestral homeland. They are in the Great Lakes region in deep Africa. If one is an archaeologist and they are looking at Egypt though a Eurocentric approach they will come to the false conclusion that the mountains of the moon are in Saudi Arabia. Because there is no way they could have been these negros from central Africa. Get what I'm saying yo? When looking at Egypt with a euro lens nothing would make sense. Every piece of evidence would point to the wrong conclusions. If you are looking at Egypt with African lens everything becomes clear. All the evidence would be be assembled would become apparent.
This is the absolute reason Egyptology must discerne Egypt in the african framework. Get my drift?!

The thing is that all the evidence paints them as black sub Saharan Africans. What would you call Mariah Carey, white? Arab? She's only like %20 percent black. But she is considered sub Saharan. Obama is lighter than most of the painted Egyptians but he is considered black. I don't think it's fair that you can call modern mixed people black. But ancient mixed people something other. It would be better off for everyone if they are called black. In fact. All the new evidence from DNAtribes suggest that the 18th dynasty Pharaohs were exclusively black. Central African and Great Lakes to be precise. I just don't understand how people can just argue away the truth when the facts are right in their face. It's as if you say they were black that they were somehow inferior. I just don't get it really. I'm white and personally don't even like black Americans. But I know and accept that the AE were negro. It makes the most sense of all the arguments. Once you see Egypt in its African context. Their culture their language their coming of age rites and their religion makes far mor sense. Looking at Egypt from a euro perspective all these things are super mysterious. But it's not. It's actually very simple. You can look at Batutsi customs and they are almost identical to the AE. The Khoisan in Southern Africa look like Chinese people. They have epicanthic folds and a reddish skin color. Observing their hair and how it grows is very much like AE. Please google Khoisan and look at images. Go through them and you will find the links. I believed for any real scholar to study AE they have to look at it in an African context. Otherwise it looks bizarre and mysterious. It isn't however any of those. It's very simple.
