So i've finally decided to stop being lazy and finally begin to post about my findings in this astounding first hand account of the Songhay empire and some of the previous empires that preceded it as well as the notable rulers that governed this short lived empire. Properly refered to as the Tarikh al-fattash fi akhbar al-buldan wa l-juyuch wa-akabir en-nas (The Chronicle of the Seeker: Serving as an Account of the Towns, Armies, and Leading Figures of the Takrur) of course this isn't a direct copy of the original but rather a compilation of copies noted as manuscripts A, B, & C while the original still remains within the family library of the author Al Hajj Mahmud Kati it still provides valuable information but it should be noted although the Al Hajj Mahmud Kati originally composed this work it would be his descendents that would later complete it. So look forward to future uploads.
