I understand the general gist of what Mr Walker is getting at is however he is leaving out large chunks of information. There wasn't just a population replacement with Arabs in North Africa before 639 AD because Ancient Eurasian DNA has been present in Northern tips of North Africa for tens of thousands of years. Plus Moroccans and other North Africans like Tunisians also have a lot of European ancestry (especially on the mtDNA side) they aren't just "Arabs," they're Berbers who have mixed with ethnic Arabs as well as Europeans from the Iberia...

Your Point ? It's just a short video ,so of course he did not give a detailed blow by blow of over all population shifts, but what he states is the crux of the issue here , & for me that is the point !

I get that but without the proper information you cloud the passage of history because most people into black history including Mr Walker (I have his book) believe North Africa was entirely black then some Arabs came and totally wiped out the indigenous population like what Europeans did with the Native Americans...and it didn't happen like that at all.

This documentary many here on ESR are familiar with Libya's Black Mummy. Note how they say & show how Libya was a Black people at one time. what I like at times is that they themselves show surprise in there archeological finding. What Robert walker says I believe is right on target the second video was the ground breaking series Afica's Great civilizations aired in February of this year 20017 by Dr Louis Henry Gates Pt. ones called Origins, & here when it comes to populating the Nile Valley Libya again is seen as a Black country, although some find the direction was from the South as well. Again Dr. Leaky( I'm sure you know who he is) states where ever Africans went in the world they were Black. This is enough for me.

I'm aware of the black t ashwinat mummy that was found in Southern Libya that's the one you're referencing right? My point was never to cloud the obvious black presence in Ancient North Africa it was to simply introduce the fact that Ancient Eurasian DNA has been present in Northern tips of Africa for thousands of years prior to any "Arab" invasion. Divorcing the Late Upper Palaeolithic demographic histories of mtDNA haplogroups M1 and U6 in Africa
bmcevolbiol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1471-2148-12-234The history of the North African mitochondrial DNA haplogroup U6 gene flow into the African, Eurasian and American continents
bmcevolbiol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1471-2148-14-109Furthermore the Arab "invasion" that happened in North Africa was more cultural then their being an outright population shift unlike with Europeans in North America or Australia especially outside of Egypt. Anyway the modern North African population probably has more European DNA then DNA from the Arabian Peninsula.

The Olmecs were neither Egyptians or Mongoloid Native Americans. The Olmec were Mande speaking people.

Well, I understand , but you said you did not want to Cloud the issue, or something to that affect. There have been many migrations in & out of Africa with different ethic, ,racial groups,+languages, plants, & animals, from other lands eons ago ,the one that strikes me is the migration from the horn of Africa between Ethiopia & Yemen both ways. You seem to be interested in DNA harlogroups etc.their are other here on ESR that have a deep interest in discussing these topic in detail, I'm not one of them . Although I have had my DNA done twice, by 2 different companies, to compare & double check . I'm sure Robin walker is aware of these strains from migration patterns in & out of Africa, but his focus is just at a different time period, one does not cancel out the other.

What companies did you use for DNA testing? How does Ancestry.com stack up in the comparisons?
