OK I said when Trump 1st got elected we need to pay attention to how Trump will treat Africa. Also some on ESR, I want name names ,acted if I was in hyperbole concerning Trumps election, with statements like" Calm Down" you know who you are ! As the saying goes the proof is in the pudding. I'll say it again Trump, is dangerous & a racist . When one makes statements calling Haitians & Africa "shitholes" Than there it is !

Trump is not dangerous. He is and will self destruct. His statement jeopardizes all US economic, diplomatic, and military operations in Africa...all in one fell swoop.
Of course he is a racist (arent they all?). This just makes it clear for all the stupid, ignorant, and or naive blacks home and abroad. That can only be a good thing.
Finally, Trump's statement is a good thing because an enduring problem that the elites of Haiti and African nations have is that they have little to no idea how they and their nations are perceived. They believe that because they have fancy titles, power, and money that on the international stage they are respected.
Trump has given them a much needed wakeup call. "Your societies are 'shitholes'and I nor all who support me have any respect for you'". For those who dont know now they do and for those who did,the concept has been reinforced.
Perhaps this will spur many to wake up and work to seriously address the issues affecting their societies. He has shamed them publicly.......
For it is obvious.....many ofnthese places are shitholes and the local elites are largely to blame by act of commission and omission.

Some of your statements sounds somewhat bazaar, & well elitist, a word you seem to throw around a lots. You seem to be unaware of the parts that America & Europe has played in making these countries what they are, over many years. Do some real serious research before making superficial statements which sounds sophomoric & with a lots of sophistry thrown in , which you seem to like to do. Yes, there needs to be responsibility & accountability on the parts of all countries in what they do, or not do, including America; it seems to be a ploy used by the Right to try & paint African countries along with Haiti as only corrupt, & despotic without any real historical context, for which you seem to be using a page from their playbook ! As far as a wake up call, many in African, & the Caribbean did not need Trump for this !

You are wrong. Many Blacks and Africans do need wake up calls. Large amounts of them believe that racism does not exist or is not a real problem. That since a few have jobs or positions or that because Obama became president that somehow racism has ended....that there arent people who want them dead. Large amounts of the believe that White people are their friends. You have no idea of the amount of Black people who were shocked that Trump won. People were saying stuff like " i cant believe there are so many racist people in America". My only response to that was to drop my jaw in disbelief. Large amounts of US Blacks and Africans (and Caribbeans-Haitians) still pray to fake White Man Jesus...... After Trump won many Africans even cheered his victory because they were unhappy with Obama because he advocated for gay rights democratic reforms etc.... 2016/11/13/501935909/authoritarian-leaders-in-africa-celebrate-trump-victory www.herald.co.zw/african-leaders-on-trump-win/At least now, they have been put on open notice. This is a good thing. You can not fight an enemy if you do not know that he exists.

While there have been marked improvements, African leadership must up their game , last time Trump met with a bunch of African leaders he bragged about how his friends are making a killing, I don't think he meant Africans are benefiting from their presence, however while that is offensive, we had better look past his headline grabbing remarks to the real damages being done, Africa could have come to Haiti's aid instead of letting the Clintons damn near owning the island, heck the Caribbean could have should step up more..there is no reason the African diaspora couldn't have free and interconnected trade in technology, culture and commerce with Africans.
