WHat do you have on the construction of the city, economy, trade, admin etc? Haven't really looked into that but I will get back to you after doing some digging around. But I'd assume that it was similar to the later Yoruba city-states since Ile-Ife was considered their cultural and spiritual capital.

Well at least the Met is coming round to not denigrating African accomplishment with degrading terms
