Miss Algeria 2019 targeted by racist trolls . [ She beat 16 other women to be crowned Miss Algeria, but Khadija Ben Hamou’s win has been subjected to a torrent of racist abuse. Update: Organisers of Miss Algeria speak out after winner is targeted by racist trolls Khadija made history when she became the first black woman to take the crown at the annual beauty pageant on Saturday, but her win has since been tainted by online trolls who flooded Facebook and Twitter with comments about her appearance. When other social media users began to call out those spouting racist abuse, some Twitter users maintained it had nothing to do with race. “She just wasn’t that pretty,” one person wrote.] Anansi's Remarks: Bull !!! Coastal North Africans have to decide to piss or get off the pot,if collectively they wannabe Eurasians and none Africans or Blacks, then so let it be, but they shouldn't expect help from Afro- identified Black folks when Euro-wy supremacist continue to put a foot up that azz, because in truth North Africans are at the bottom of the totem pole in many places like France and increasingly the U.K and even the good ol USA. Cont: [ Plenty of other users were quick to praise the diversity of this year’s competition and jump to Khadija's defence. One Facebook user wrote: “If I understand correctly, you want a Miss Algeria that looks like a Swedish!? It's one of the charms of our diversity, a Saharan charm, I'm glad to finally see a miss who comes from the south Algeria] [Another wrote: “Y’all can’t be making fun of her nose, hair and skin complexion and say it’s not racist.”] [ Khadija, who comes from Adrar in the south of the country, took part in 20 rounds of the competition before being crowned Miss Algeria 2019. She will go on to represent the country at Miss World, and will take part in charity work.] amp-thenational-ae.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/amp.thenational.ae/lifestyle/new-miss-algeria-2019-targeted-by-racist-trolls-1.810279?amp_js_v=a2&_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQCCAE%3D#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thenational.ae%2Flifestyle%2Fnew-miss-algeria-2019-targeted-by-racist-trolls-1.810279. "...in truth North Africans are at the bottom of the totem pole in many places like France and increasingly the U.K and even the good ol USA." Do you have statistics to back up your claim for the USA and the U.K? "...Black or Dark skinned Africans were the original Northern or coastal north Africans and is connected to you modern North Africans ..so indulge in racist behavior at your own risk, but know that when the sht hit the fan, you will be told to hold your own nuts." Yeah, what's going to happen when "the sht hit the fan"? What constitutes "the sht hit the fan" to you? Some pretty horrible things happened in Libya, such as pogroms against Black Libyans and the enslavement of Blacks in that country. Why have these events not angered you as much as this story? newint.org/features/web-exclusive/2016/06/23/to-be-black-in-libya

<<nnjjyyaaa>> tell it to Fanon, he loved the Algerian 'Arab'. Today Algeria ain't gotta used clue who Fanon was.
Listen, those kinda Imazighen have derided anything like any inner African connections for centuries.
Europe invented the nation Algeria.
Adrar and Tuat oases people had no national identity with Djur Djura people until France decided both belong to them.
If Black Americans have ID issues coastal Africans have had 'em for over 1000 years.

Algeria is not Libya as China is not Korea. Right, al~Takruri is not Anansi. We now have absolute clarity. Now tell me what Anansi was talking about when he said "when the sht hits the fan"? Seems to me that the sht has hit the fan in that part of the world for nearly a decade, as Libya's descent into barbarism shows.

Stop mistaking Libya for the entire Maghreb.
This is an Algeria thread why keep deflecting to Libya? Why not make a Libya thread or revisit one? Help make the board more robust.

Stop mistaking Libya for the entire Maghreb. This is an Algeria thread why keep deflecting to Libya? Why not make a Libya thread or revisit one? Help make the board more robust. Stop mistaking my comment on the whole Maghreb as a comment on Libya. The "Arab Spring" of 2011 affected Egypt, Tunisia and even Algeria. "The effects of the Tunisian Revolution spread strongly to five other countries: Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain, where either the regime was toppled or major uprisings and social violence occurred, including riots, civil wars or insurgencies. Sustained street demonstrations took place in Morocco, Iraq, Algeria, Iranian Khuzestan,[citation needed] Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman and Sudan. Minor protests occurred in Djibouti, Mauritania, the Palestinian National Authority, Saudi Arabia, and the Moroccan-occupied Western Sahara.[6] A major slogan of the demonstrators in the Arab world is ash-shaʻb yurīd isqāṭ an-niẓām ("the people want to bring down the regime").[7]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_SpringAs this Wikipedia quote indicates, the sht hit the fan in Algeria. If you have information to the contrary share it and quit telling me what I should do. My comment was addressed to Anansi, not you, feel free to answer my question if you want, but stop telling me what to do. When you refused to expand on how "white Jews" interfered with your Nigerian deal, I quit asking as soon as you told me it wasn't my business. As a religious man you must be familiar with the adage: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

No mistake here. Ain't you the one posted specifically on Libya twice at least? You run off, look some ish up, come back acting like you meant all Maghreb. And for what?
Ha! A stewing grudge holder overflows due to his inability to comprehend "stranglehold" and do some W Afr trade history homework. Flub off already or gimme some a YOUR damn bio.
Anyway, post what you please, I'll continue making suggestions. Even post old ish covered back when it happened. Try checking the original, the Berber Spring. Do anything but enlighten on Kabyle and Drar relations. Or how Kel Haratine Berber Arab aMazigh or Gnawa ethnicity colors life in mountain urban oasis coastal or pre-Sahara Algeria. And how that feeds into the pageant, the haters, the defenders and the meaning of color, features, race and beauty. Also why this Yte Western Ideology foreign adapted objectifying pagaent has so much meaning and importance in the first place?

Al, you are hilarious, did you win first prize I hold no grudge against you, I'm just not interested in what you have to say because you are a prickly guy who takes umbrage at the most innocuous comment. You seem to derive a perverse pleasure in misreading what I write. I simply asked Anansi, not you, what he was talking about when he implied some kind of disaster was about to befall the Maghreb. Quit bitching like the stewing you take me for and answer for Anansi if you know what he's talking about. Your divagations are entertaining and as loopy as ever, but let's get serious. WHAT DISASTER IS IN THE MAKING FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE MAGHREB? WHAT CAN BLACK AFRICANS DO TO HELP THEM WHEN THEY ARE DOING EVEN WORSE? If you care to deal with my questions, I'm all ears.

I am not surprised by the racist trolls, although of course it could be argued that the ones in the Europe and the US are no better. I agree. If they want to be white, go ahead, lol, but they never will be truly accepted by Europeans like the French. Black or Dark skinned Africans were the original Northern or coastal north AfricansIndeed. TO BE BLACK IN LIBYAnewint.org/features/web-exclusive/2016/06/23/to-be-black-in-libya^^True, for these blacks the shiit has indeed hit the fan and Anansi has long commented on North African racism in various threads. www.egyptsearch.com/forums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=001682;p=1Same "North African" pattern with some modern Egyptians (there are exceptions of course). How often we have posted about racist attitudes and racist abuse, and how often the denials or outright lying to avoid acknowledging the African foundation of Kemet.
