But it looks like dis mis information designed to make readers think and feel the way you analyzed it, imo.
Why no Reuters article? Keys: reuters alpha conde notre dame
And remember, Alpha Conde is also Pres of the African Union.
Looking more like some low level Stockton In Search of Enemies op designed to shake confidence in capability of African leadership.
You know, liquored up, my kingdom and people for some glass beads stereotype the haters loove. Yep, you called it 👊👍

Well for sure like you say if they have a strong connection to their homelands, they know where they are from. If you ask Africans and Caribbean people they definitely know where they are from. I figure she was talking broad brush- people don't identify first as "being from Africa"- anymore than Japanese first identification is with Japan. THey don;t primarily identify with "we are from Asia." But heck- its just rhetorical. If you were in NYC, Brooklyn you ain't got no shortage of diversity. One thing I forgot to insert was that many now are doing their DNA profiles which now although still not perfect but increasing in some accuracy say more than 5 years ago can now give Black folks more information in which their ancestors came from in the past 500 years..the Gold Standred would be African Ancestry which has I think the largest data bank of African countries & samples...about 6 moths ago i got a up date on my DNA increasing some African countries on my profile while decreasing others because they are getting new information... at one time Nigeria was pretty high as a percentage now only one percent while Benin/Togo was added with a very high percentage..but I do understand why they changed ..so If I do decide to go to Africa to visit.... Benin/Togo, would be a place I would like to check out more than lets say Nigeria in general although they share overlapping history in the same region

Zarahan said:[ She says the only people that do not know where they come from are black people. I think that is too broad a statement these days- 50 years ago maybe, but after 5 decades of black consciousness, Pan Africanism, black nationalism, and anti-colonialism-] Broad maybe but, the brilliant use of mass digital communication, by the various I ain't no African groups ,Nativist Aboriginal, Some of the Hebrew Israelites, or I just plain don't wanna be bothered with no Africans, have rolled back some of the strides made in the minds of the young especially. Lol you can call it the "ABA" factor with some of these people- "Anything BUt African." You can see it in some of the Arabized parts of Africa + Egypt where its "ABA" to clear science showing the African foundations of Kemet. Apparently the ancient folk just sprung up spontaneously out of da water of da Nile.. You wonder too about those donations to Notre Dame that Takuri links- if a bit of "ABA" is at play too. Why is so much more is going to the EUropean Cathedral than to relief of the victims of Mozambique?

Historic "ABA" at play..

It's quite a change from 60 years ago, where to be called "African" or even "black" in parts of the US black community was considered to be a huge insult. Historic "ABA" at play.. Well, yes, back in the day you call someone a" Black African "you could get your ass wiped ...all we had were Tarzan movies or over the top representation of Africans being cannibals etc.But as a kid I had this thing for Africa & read all I could about Africa esp ancient Egypt...we would play cow - boys & Indians but I would want to play ancient Egyptians.. all my close friends knew this about me & kid me to this day about that lol So when the" I'm Black & Proud" took off in the 60's I was already" primed " & I was like a" duck in water" & finding Diop & reading Diop was" Heaven" which only confirmed what I already knew on a deep intuitive level.... as a kid I saw the film "The Egyptians"in 1954.. all white cast but something about" these people.. the Egyptians" I knew !! ...did no understand at that age but.. I became" obsessed" with ancient Egypt which was my journey...Michael Jackson's" There was A Time" came closes to the Real" Vision" of what we all knew..!!
