Just how true is the whole "Nubia is/was Egypt's frontier"

Hi people, as you know I am a relative novice when it comes to Egyptology but I have learned a lot from this board as well as from some of the members here (Asante) in particular.

I have often read from various sources that Nubia was Egypt's ancestor/forerunner but my question is how true is this and is there really any concrete evidence for this? Because I've often wondered if this is the case then why did the Ancient Egyptians separate themselves from the Nubians and call them things like "Vile Kush" as well as regard them as inferior? Why did Ancient Egyptian writing not begin in Nubia? Why aren't older mummies then Ancient Egypt found in Sudan? Why aren't the Pyramids of Nubia/Kush older then the ones in Ancient Egypt (I read somewhere they are newer)

Oh I forgot

AEL uses a word related to
'nose' for their frontier concept.

Khent-en-nefer (sp) is Lower Nubia iirc.
So Egypt labeled 'Nubia' frontier, and
a nefer one at that.

Compare and contrast nefer and keshit and please
note that Kush is not the only keshit nationality.

Because we knew that Ta-Seti aka "Nubia" was literally the first political state entity on the Nile that transferred all the Royal paraphernalia to what was to become Egypt, and part of that state after Egypt the breakaway state became the first administrative district or Nome, this is known to the general public for at least 40yrs now.

Well ultimately I was asking what proof was there that Egypt CAME from Nubia specifically not just the relationship between the two as separate states. Anyway with that said guys thnx for the replies....

Anansi quick question on this part. You say neighbours bad mouth each other all the time and I agree with you on that point. However if the Egyptians truly came from the Nubians then why didn't they ever mention it? Why didn't they mention themselves as having similarities phenotypically/anatomically to the Nubians? or even coming from the same source/geography as the Nubians? Basically what I'm getting at is there seems to be a lot of descriptions given by AE's differentiating themselves from the Nubians but never documents with AE's describing any similarities between the two.....I just find it a bit odd given that the two groups were supposedly so similar.
