And this is what they give for an "Ancestry Painting" I hear this is pretty much incorrect for all people of African descent and even the profiles of Continental Africans that I have seen show elevated European and Asian Ancestry.
That aside the African reference populations for 23andMe are VERY WEAK:
Mandinka Yoruba Khoisan Kenyan Bantu South African Bantu Biaka Pygmy
Hmmmm..... Haven't we seen this list before.
There is another site DNA TRIBES that has a very extensive list of African reference population:

They give you A LOT of information about the medical aspects of your genome, that is what I was really going for. But all in all the site is mady BY and FOR Europeans. Many aspects of the site are Specific to Europeans besides the data set.
For instance the " (-13910*T)" marker for lactose persistence found in Europeans is something I do NOT HAVE. Therefore they list me as Lactose Intolerant, probably having issues drinking "more than a cup of milk per day". Of course this is not the case. I probably have on of the many African version of genetic coding for lactose Persistence that they just dont search for.
Then there is the issue of East African Ancestry. The Ancestry painting portion is useless for those of Horn African or partial horn African ancestry as Horn African, ( Near Middle Eastern and even South East Indian i should add) is coded as "European". So a Somali would come out as 2% African, 8% Asian and 90% European.
Caveats aside, it was worth the 99.00 for the medical analysis alone. From what I hear Doctors are now doing the genetic medical test on women having babies that are over 30 years of age,.
This same in addition to the mathes for 64T 200 shows: L0a1a in: USA, Egypt, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Hausa, South Africa, Guinea Bissau, and Chad
It also predicts L0a1a2 which I have found no information in. L0a1a also seems to be involved in the East African Bantu Expansion and is very high in Mozambique. Of course this is all assuming that I know what I am talking about and some of this is out of my league, especially the matching part.
