Yeah it seems they let loose the all the bigots and insane crazies they can find, gone are the days when I could look at a Colin Powell or governor Tom Kean of New Jersey and say you know if that guy ran,I could see my self voting Republican ,there was even a time when they were making overtures to the Black Church and even the Nation Of Islam because of their social conservatism I mean how the heck do you loose Hispanics and new immigrants from the Caribbean and else where who tends to be not only social but economic conservatives in thinking and action?? simple you ignore them and make glib remarks about race and ethnicity or un-leash a bunch of rabid racist to be your face.

Race baiting is an actual old tactic of the GOP, In Texas you will be suprized at how racist our Texas "Constitution" is. The old democrat party was actually the conservative party back in the day. Colin Powell is actually a Moderate or Liberal Conservative, He is actually more inline with Obama, unlike folks like Alan West and Herman Cain who are Far Right Tea Party types. Even Mike Steele comes off as "Moderate" conservative sometimes
