Sorry, but this page did not make a whole lots of sense to me. I guess if i was really into Judaism,& Islam as historical facts, it might. Please explain in your words what this page is saying. Yes, Kush & Ethiopia are interchangeable, but i have seen these terms cause confusion to those less informed about these to geographical places & civilizations on the continent of Africa . Also, could not Kush be a term( generic ) used at points & time in history, to denote Dark skinned peoples, just as Ethiopia was used ?

I am simply moving this last portion of the topic that got away from the O.P the thread that I linked to is about the Heterogeneous nature in places immediately adjacent to Africa, with place names and folks called Kush, the biblical narrative is in there because it gives insight into how folks of that era viewed connections with Africans.

On Facebook Runoko Rashidi posted about African kingdoms not being involved in the slave trade. He stated that even on the African continent it was a completely Euro-centered enterprise. I believe I know the answer but I want to to know what others thin, because that is completely ridiculous to me. For one, I cannot see any of these empires allowing whites to roam their countries willy-nilly without their control. I've read where some kings collected duty from anybody passing through, so how were whites able to profit from the slave trade, without Africans giving them the privilege? Do you think the Euro's had enough manpower (back then) to enslave 12 million people?

Let me just say this, before the era of the repeating rifle the maxim gun and Quinine,Europeans had little chance in hell to mount any effective campaign against an organised African power and even after these things came into being they had a whole heap of problem keeping control, put it to you this way, European colonialism lasted in most of Africa only 70 odd yrs and this is with the help of Africans themselves,so no! with the exception of Southern Africa where you have significant European population,no it was a bust, back during the era of the slave trade African Armies equaled those of Europe, their bureaucracy was just as complex as those in Europe or any organised states in the world and there were no getting around their bureaucracy,in some cases in central Africa you couldn't even trade without joining a brotherhood a practice still in use to this day. Interesting lecture about the Bantu migrations the relations with the people they met,the almost identical reverence to the Batwa that the Kemetians had shown. The Bwiti trade and social institution that even Europeans had to join if they wanted to trade in the area..include slave trading, and how it's still very much around and governing politics to see who gets oil revenue dollars and who don't..very fascinating lecture. Read more: egyptsearchreloaded.proboards.com/thread/419#ixzz3CPWlcmQ9 If you want to go get to the point of this brother hood go to the last vid,but I recommend the entire series. Let me say this again it wasen't because early Europeans didn't try, they did but each time they got driven out or were exterminated to a man like the Portuguese had in ancient Zimbabwe by the Changamire Dynasty,
