Hi, I've been trying to do some research on the Moors as well as Moorish Architecture. I just ordered a book of ebay called "Moorish architecture in Andalusia" by A. Bednorz and M. Barrucand

Hi, I've been trying to do some research on the Moors as well as Moorish Architecture. I just ordered a book of ebay called "Moorish architecture in Andalusia" by A. Bednorz and M. Barrucand I have that one, the photographs are beautiful, the layouts are really cool. The information is good but it deals more so with the architecture, art and culture. There's also a much smaller book "Andalusia: Art & Architecture" by Brigette Hintzen-Bohlen. Again, beautiful photographs and I really love the layout of the arches, I just wish the book was bigger. If you want to get into Moorish history, I would recommend "Golden Age of the Moor" edited by Ivan Van Sertima, "Moorish Spain" by Richard Fletcher and/or "The Moors - Islam in the West" by Michael Brett and Werner Forman. And if you want to go even deeper, you can check out "The Almohads The Rise of an Islamic Empire" by Allen J. Fromherz (I'm halfway through it) and "The Almoravids and the Meanings of Jihad" by Ronald A. Messier. If you're gonna order "Golden Age" I highly recommend ordering from this site: www.journalofafricancivilizations.com/BooksThat's the cheapest I've seen it online and they ship really fast.

I've just begin to explore the history of the Moors and I already own Van Sertima's work and I'm working on the other ones you suggested.
