video.pbs.org/video/2365384458 Happy New Year Everyone ! PBS has been doing a series called" Sacred Journeys" of different pilgrimages to sacred sites around the world. They have done Islam , Christianity, Judaism etc. But I decided I did not want to check those out for my on personal reasons. But I decided to watch the one on Hinduism & they added a bonus hour on the Sacred journey to Nigeria to visit Yoruba land & attended the Festival Of Osun- Osogbo. I'm so glad that I tuned in, for I was very " pleasantly surprised" ! Africa is never really looked at as having any thing important to contribute on the religious front " Black Africa" that is. So I was blown away by this segment, which was done with a" white moderator " which looked at African Americans going to Nigeria, to be a part of this religious Sacred Festival . It was done with great respect, & giving some historical background on Yoruba Ifa . Finally we see something on Africa & religion that is not of Islam, or Christianity , but on one of Africa most important, that has spread around the world, Ifa. I don't know how long they will keep this segment up, so please watch now !

Oh no!! Iam unable to view it in this part of the world Happy New years all the same Nesben. Anansi, help me to understand why you can't watch this PBS program ? I thought the internet was open to all, & Japan is democratic country is it not ?; I thought only country's like China, South Korea, & Cuba etc, had no internet, or heavy censorship. It's sounds very strange that a country such as Japan, with all the high tech there & the technologically savvy people; & you have high speed internet which we still do not have here in the states, cannot access a program here (US )that is on the net.

I think the blockage is from state side and I don't think it's Japan specific, sometimes the folks at the other end is mindful of pirating from places they can't control. But I am resourceful I'll find my way around it..
