For me it is very different for fantasy kind of CGI film that might have an ancient Egyptian theme . But what really bothers, & upsets me, is a so called serious, historical film about ancient Egypt, with a all white or stereotyped casting such as Gods & Kings. Would really enjoy seeing a serious film about ancient Egypt that looks somewhat like this wonderful painting! Attachments:

Would really enjoy seeing a serious film about ancient Egypt that looks somewhat like this wonderful painting! Don't hold your breath..... Well I'm not naive enough to think such a film will ever be made in the political & social climate that we are in at the present time. But," Hope Springs Eternal" is one of my favorite motto's . One never knows what life will serve up next, esp. with a new generation of film makers, not only here in the states but else where. I'll just say, I came of age in the 50's & 60's & I might not be around physically to see it, but I rest assured it will happen in the next 15 to 20 years . The more enlightened new croup of Egyptologist , academics, & more importantly an aware informed general public, cane bring about such a change, & film. But those of us today regardless of race, must keep the pressure on , & make known by protest, such as with the film" Gods & Kings". I believe they feel the days of the" Afrocentric" a word i never did like, are over, & now they feel they can go back to business as usual & make what ever inaccurate film about ancient Egypt & the ancient world that keeps the narrative of a white Egypt & ancient world going . The young people of today esp. of African descent give me much hope, for they are more aware than many give them credit ; for they were born in the 90's at the height of the age of " The Afrocentric" & have this information in their DNA so to speak. It will be a slow struggle, but one day we will see such a film !

As if the theory of them being white or Arab never existed. I'm talking about people in person. Not on blogs. On blogs they still argue that they were white Europeans and Arabs. I'm doing a lot of work for the cause though. Also things are definitely changing. I know a lot of rich black people that own businesses and have nice car etc etc. and from what my father told me it wasn't like that back in the day. Black people actually had to use different bathrooms. Look how powerful people like Oprah and Jay Z and Obama are now.

Well, the people you are talking to must be very enlightened & knowledgeable, for the average person has been so influenced by brainwashing from their education, to the all prevailing media, that they cling to the Aryan model of the ancient Egyptians. All one has to do is check out the comments section on any post about ancient Egyptian being other than white, or Arab ; that says, states, or alludes, to the ancient Egyptians being African, ( Black ) & the comments from whites & Arabs are always full of hate, & vitriol by the very idea. At it's benign best, the comments are just ignorant !

Nebsen
Well most of the vitriol would be from trolls, In my view most whites could care less either way and very few Arabs care either, but what I do find is a lot of trolls who fake being Arabs or modern Egyptians that post crap, often times I checked a person's Youtube ch. and it either have no history or there is a white supremacist Aryan nation type behind it.

I have noticed on the most innocent of post about the ancient Egyptian being other than white a lots of just plain uninformed whites folks will chime in about their understanding of ancient Egypt, from Egypt being a middle-eastern country (even some so called learn-it white folks, espouse this concept,) to the trope of ancient dynastic Egypt being a mostly " multiracial Arab civilization". The one I like is" Who cares what race the ancient Egyptians were" or"Why bring Race into it" ? This tries to mislead one to think they don't care about race, but in reality they don't like the status Quo, (White Egypt) being challenged. Like I stated it mostly do to their education & the broad control that mass media has on this subject matter. I know most Americans are very ignorant concerning history & geography in general. But what gets me is that they will argue their uniformed understanding " tooth, & nail" because they have" white privilege" of always being right, esp. when they know the opponents are of African decent. They have been so brainwashed that they will uphold the Aryan model for that is what the mainstream institutions has taught them to do. Very few of them seem to really know or want to know the real racial dynamics of ancient Egypt, & this includes non- whites such as Hispanics( Latinos) & Asians. Innate racism seems to blind many to the logical truth about human origins & Africa, being the cradle of Human kind & Kush/ Egypt being the logical civilizations of ancient Africa .

I know that if someone had stolen my history from me and made me think that I was lesser than I would be really upset. I would be fighting this thing will all my resources. I would make sure that any movies on the subject were starring only black actors. Personally I don't know how you guys do it. I'm white it it pains me in my stomach every time I see their extrapolations on who they think the Egyptians were.

There's something I don't really understand. How does the out of Africa theory help the Afrocentric cause? To me it doesn't matter much where our orgins are but That would almost invalidate that black people are as intelligent than white people. Because intelligence could be a genetic mutation for adaptability in cold environments. Asian people are the most cold adapted and they are usually considered more intelligent than white people. I mean obviously I don't believe this because some of the most intelligent people I know are black.

Which would make sense because Asian people are more intelligent than white people and they are the most cold adapted. Whites are supposed to be in the middle between Europeans and Africans genetically. Because Africa have diverse geographical conditions and people moving from one area to the next must over come, for example plants and some animals used in one area may not be suitable for another, experiments and innovation is constant and necessary for adaptation to new conditions. And what about tropical Asians. Samuel will you please get off the racial hierarchy tip either you dig deeply into genetics or leave it the hell alone because you can't half step you will just end up saying stupid sht always.

I wasn't suggesting a hierarchy. I was really just wondering what about the OOA theory that supports Afro centrism. Anyway what can we do to make them stop churning out these stupid movies with white actors playing the major roles.? It's plain obvious that movies with black actors make money. "Empire". Was the number one show last year. Plus many others.

www.egyptsearch.com/forums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=006016This is a link from Egyptsearch by Myra Wysinger about a letter, " National Geographic Speaks Up" Jan 14, 2008. Myra Wysinger I have always had great respect for, I believe she is an educator. Also Djehuti who I also have much respect for . They are also members of ESR but seldom hear from them now-days.I posted this link & discussion for it illustrates what my earlier post was saying about the media esp N.G. & it's influence on the average uniformed persons who on a regular basis digest this distorted information about ancient Egypt.
