Its a complex issue. On one hand SOME Af-Ams look down on Africans as more backward or crooked (particularly the Nigerians)- but on the other SOME African immigrants today- particularly the educated ones look down on Black Americans- using language one typically associates with white right wing bigots. So both sides have issues. African immigrants to the US have changed the landscape.
What are some of the issues you identify from the videos Nebsen? What makes up the divide and why? Go ahead and list 5 or 6.

Go ahead and list 5 or 6. well that's why i posted the latest video by Calvin Micheals, because I think in the 30 min of his video he touches on a lots that I agree with.I think he has a very informed understanding of the issues concerning African Americans & Africans for his generation which also include those from the Caribbeans . Back in my day, I volunteered at our local African American Research Museum, & came in contact with African brothers & sisters from the continent esp. from Nigeria & Ghana; Also at the state University I knew facility, one of my buddies was a prof. of African Studies, & I met many Africans through him. Mind you most of us were in agreement about many things & when we did not agree we would have lively debates. Now this was in the 70's & i guess things might have changed somewhat. Also the group of folks I knew, being a Pan African was still part of our consciousness .
