A new BBC series on Africa, by journalist Zeinab Badawi . I don't know much about this Afro- Brit , but I heard about her series the other day. It seems like Henry Louis Gates has lit a new fire, about the history of Africa, or maybe she has been planning this for years, at any rate I welcome her new series, it looks great ! Also she connects the world view of the series to her connection to Pan -Africanism , which I also applaud .

Based on the interview looks like it will be even better than what Gates did. She is going to use the UNESCO data in the series so factual grounding should be fairly sound. We should get a decent overview of Nile Valley perhaps.

Anybody know when it'll be aired? It aired on the BBC about 3 or 4 months or more, so if you are in Britain you are in luck, here in the US not so lucky. It could be out on DVD also .

In Norway, have BBC but never saw it. Maybe it was exclusive to Great Britain/UK. Guess I'll have to trawl torrent sites for it or something.
