I always thought she was a bit weird but after I saw an interview she seems quiet level headed.

What I learned from this video is that Badu has amped up her freakness to the level of streaking (LOL). Of course none of those people (bystanders) in the video were expecting her to strip her small tits ass bucknaked. Also, If my eyes served me correct, I saw some children by-standers. Who is she to impose her, needs to hit the gym sometimes soon, naked body on the eyes of unsuspecting adults and their children? Typical hubris artist. Some of these extremely lib bellied artists really take things too far, at times.

^It has been revealed by scientific studies that exposure to nudity does not compromise the development of children. It does the opposite, which is, make them accept their own body and decrease nudity related insecurities.
This is of course, common sense. Something open minded people could tell you without needing studies.
I don't know if a bystanders were notified, but I do agree that a little warning would have been the right thing to do.

^Let me help you w/the synopsis of my missive:

Sir (or mam), my problem is not w/the video. It is w/the public stunt she pulled.

Unless you have telepathic powers, or have read her saying that explicitly, I will assume you're assuming. Every artist is concerned with marketing her/himself, so I won't say there is no element of marketing in it. Calling it a publicity stunt though, that is your opinion, someone else may find it artistic.

^okay, I see I will have to dumb down my argument for you to understand. She pulled a public stunt by streaking. It is a public stunt because she performed the streaking in public without prior notice to said public. The stunt was also recorded to be used later as an artistic expression i.e., music video. The beef is w/the stunt, not the video.
GET IT?

That's the thing. You can't view the act itself as seperate from the music video. The environment and the resulting dynamic is what was needed for the effect she intended for the music video.
There was no message to the bystanders, she didn't try to communicate anything to the bystanders, the purpose was artistic expression, and as she has stated herself, self-liberation. Although I don't know if she predicted and intended the latter, it was probably a side effect.
Get it? The interaction/message was not directed at the bystanders, they were simply facilitated for the effect. This is different from undressing in public to shock, or trying to be funny.

^okay, it is obvious you get your jollies off being argumentative and a contrarian. If you don't want to admit that there are codes of conduct in a public forum, such as the streets, and how all must adhere to when passing thru its ways, including Badu, then I don't know what else to say, besides to call you a contrarian.
You think it is proper for a woman to show her small chichi and bubble butt to a religious family w/their children? You think that is fair, to impose her [out of shape] nudity on people without their permission? This is America. If you want that kind of behaviour, return to the jungles of Africa. I am sure the Watusis will gladly accommodate that kind of primitive behaviour.

LOL Don't be mad and fall back on the ''moral'' issue when I debunk your notion that it was a public stunt. I was actually very balanced, as I usually am, when I agreed that pre-warning unknowing bystanders is the right thing to do.

It has NOTHING to do w/morality. She has every right to create a video w/that kind of content. I am talking about respecting a person's constitutional right of NOT having to view your small chichi and bubble butt in the flesh. Do you know what the constitution is? Well she shitted on w/that stunt. Why did not she just hire actors posing like pedestrians? I'll tell you why she did not -- she wanted to force her political view on the public and she felt she could capture it best by forcefully presenting it to real people. Respect the public ways is what is expected of every American citizen. This also includes lib bellied artists who think they can do whatever the hell they want. Badu is not above the law of the land. LOL Don't be mad and fall back on the ''moral'' issue when I debunk your notion that it was a public stunt. I was actually very balanced, as I usually am, when I agreed that pre-warning unknowing bystanders is the right thing to do.

Let me ask you something, would you have a problem if I pulled out my 10 inch penis to piss in front of your wife, daughter or mother, all in the name of - 'I just could not hold it'? or would it be more appropriate that I found a corner to discretely relieve myself? Frankly there is no difference between what Badu did and some low life shmuck who does not have the common descency to not expose himself to someone's wife, daughter or mother when mother nature calls. But then again, I may be speaking to a person who pisses in open public without any compuntion. LOL Don't be mad and fall back on the ''moral'' issue when I debunk your notion that it was a public stunt. I was actually very balanced, as I usually am, when I agreed that pre-warning unknowing bystanders is the right thing to do.
