Its a good video, and they avoid extreme statements and exaggerations,
just presenting the facts clearly and attractively. I think they should
add in things like Blombos Cave, circa 70,000 years ago which saw advanced
symbolic processing, artwork and took-making in Africa, long before any
migration to "Eurasia,"
blombos ochre processing tech
blombos art
I think this is most significant for it shows such things had foundation in Africa
FIRST, and did not have to wait for a move outside to happen, although of course it
was African migrants that went on to give us the Cro-magnons, etc and the well known
cave art, tools etc of Europe..
Also I think they should have mentioned the rise of the foundational Badarian culture
that laid the foundations for Kemet, and shows clear patterns related to so-called
"sub-Saharan" cultures, etc.. And not only that, the Badarians achieved one of the
highest population densities in the world for their time, showing they could do production
and productivity in agriculture etc.
I think the 2 above are more significant than some of the items they have in there
even Akhnaten, for the Egyptians basically rolled back and destroyed Akhnaten's legacy
as heresy. They rejected it. I know, I know, I think Akhnaten may in some ways have been
a revolutionary thinker, but the cold fact is that his innovations were discarded and rejected
by the Egyptians themselves. When the Kushites took over they didn't bring back Akhnaten's
belief system either.
But anyway if you giys know the HomeTeam folk turn them on to Reloaded and the info we have here,
of they don't know already.
