Congress women newly elected from the state of Minnesota IIhan Omar...this sister is is very outspoken & she seems esp among the newly elected to congress to "Tell The Truth" & Republicans & some Democrats have criticized her for outspokenness & Frankness.She's a Black womne who is Islamic.....

Yeppers- its the old sound bite, distortion, dog whistle propaganda tactics, building a series of "cullud" bogeymen/bogeywomen that "the base" can rally against. Cue breathless FoxNews reports on "the latest outrage." They are trying to do the same thing with Ocasio_Cortez. I think Trump's people are working nod-and-wink in sync with semi/full independent "alt right" types - using a variant of their "gamer gate" online attacks and threats against women. Notice how they are tee-ing up on the females as in gamer-gate. And of course giving all this media attention to relatively recent and obscure freshmen/young congress women, is part of their strategy. Pump up the edges to maximize sound bite opportunities. They also have to destroy/neutralize these females as they potentially threaten to peel off white female voters, a majority of whom as we all know, voted for the Trump. Its a strategy that may yield success particularly if Russian manipulation and cash can get back into the game disguised, and create enough online propaganda to tip the scales. |

Dems face a dilemma. It they tilt left they can certainly cheer that side of their base, but then
this allows Trump to move in on the middle, and figures perceived to be on the left like Black
Lives Matter or Muslim Ilhan, or "migrant caravans swamping the border" can be used as racial bogeymen
to pump fear (and turnout) among the white faithful. If they go too much middle, they risk a duller
message that might not resonate enough to boost the base turnout they need.
Unless a strong candidate emerges that an "triangulate" these options and risks to victory, like
the old Bill CLinton, Trump will yet again emerge the winna.
