The recent Prendergast article purports
South Sudan ethnies like Dinka and Nuer
are the exemplars of her 4000 BCE Early
Neolithic component of herding economy
Pastoral Neolithics in East Africa.
Dinka and Nuer are acclaimed cattle
ranchers and they have
cattle cult.
Check out Tomb of Huy herdsmen.
Would her EN2 trace to ancient Turkey
and what in their way of life suggests
cattle spiritualism? Göbekli Tepe and
Çatalhöyük???
The Sahara Shell Game is designed to take
minds away from the Greater Africa Reality.
It demands one overlook the fact of
continuous habitation in East Africa
(
Panga ya Saidi) and southern Africa
(
Blombos) for more than past 70,000
years. [Please read the 2 linx.]
People talk of 'Saharans' migrating
but there's no such thing as 'sahara'
originating populations until very
recent times (Hartini, Targui, Tibbu).
In all probability they're remnants of
Sudanese and Tell/Coastal Holocene
Tropical North Africans who stayed
put after the monsoon retreated
back south taking grass and
savanna with it.
All are being made to forget that just
like the monsoon, and the grasslands,
and treed savanna, people moved north
from central Africa (Lakes, west Horn,
South Sudan) into Tropical North Africa
(north Chad&Niger, south Libya&Algeria,
north Mauritania&Mali). 'Sudanese' or
so-called SSA phenotype peoples. Hell,
the hot damned cichlid fish swam from
the East African Great Lakes to the
Tunisia/Algeria Chotts.
Funny no one claims Sahara pumped out
those fishies. But the cattle blacks are
claimed products of Sahara when all they
really are is central-zouthern African people.
The mental image of a Saharan will call
some other peoples primarily from Tell
& Coastal northern Africa. Yes folk of
such phenotypes moved into Tropical
North Africa too during the early and
middle Holocene. No early-mid Holocene
people were native to Sahara.
It's funny to hear supposedly intelligent amateurs
claim Saharan origins for Prendergast's EN1 Dinka
when in fact what they are is back migrating 'Sudanese',
more or less returning where they were before 8000 BCE.
