Well I checked out the tweet, and I have to agree, you can sht on ADOS/ AAs and expect them to act nice when you turn around and play a heroic person they / we are emotionally attached to..
On another level foreigners ir Brits of all ethnic background is making a force in Hollywood, saw an unrelated story about that.
But given that the American speech patterns that comes naturally to any American born actor/actress I don't see why the emphasis on having foreign based folks do that work.

The media is ran by white folks, so when you see a surge or trend it is because they are behind it. It's not because they are all of a sudden finding these blacks from over seas. They are simply bringing a selected group (sell outs to their own respective groups in all likelihood) of them into those roles in a blatant divide and conquer attempt by trying to undermine ADOS both socially and politically. |

I have to say I saw this a while back about this actress..way before they even started shooting this film..there are qualified Black actors that could have been chosen for this role like one of my favorites Adepero Oduye who is of Nigerian decent & also American . I really don't have a issue with Black Brits in the film industry..I have noticed that many are trained actors not "rappers turned actors"..If more Black actors could talk with a British accent I'm sure they would also get work in Britain... any good actor Black, white, or other wise, should be able to change there accent for a role that they feel will show case there talents plus they are in a global market & now competing with other actors that might not be Americans...Remember a few years back Zoe Saldana who is Afro Latina played the role of the icon Nina Simone( which flopped) ...she Saldana who at the time was not really embracing her African aspect was condemned as a pick for the role plus she looked nothing like Nina Simone & had to Black face & use prosthetic nose ..my girl Adepero Oduye who was a great admire of Nina & said she has always dreamed of playing Nina was passed over for the role...go figure  |

I agree she would have been an excellent Nina Simone! They did similar crap with that Aaliyah movie that Wendy William's tool ass pushed out there. Holliwierd is about mind f*cking the audience. They are mix matching actors for certain historical roles just to spit in the face of our people. They go above and beyond to disrespect peoples of African descent, and have for over a century. This is why I'm just so tuned out of television. It's entirely too much bullshit that one has to ignore in order to have way engage in their BS programming, and I cannot go with that. |
