More stop/search, but blacks have less weapons/contraband

Strangely, data from both NY and Minnesota show blacks having LESS
weapons or contraband on them than whites when stopped by police, yet
they are targeted more and have force used against them to a greater extent.

Here's data direct from City of Minneapolis. The blacks were stopped
almost 3 times as much as whites, and in addition, many of the blacks
were stopped in higher crime hoods. Yet with the deck stacked
in every way against the negro, it turns out that the whites stopped
were carrying MORE contraband than Blacks or Latinos.

"Of those drivers stopped, the 2003 study
showed that Black and Latino drivers were more
likely to be subjected to discretionary searches.
For those Latinos stopped, 28.5% were searched;
for Blacks, 26.7% were searched; and for Whites,
9.4% were searched. Only 6% of all searches were
made because officers observed contraband. Of
those drivers searched, contraband was found in
4.7% of the searches involving Latino drivers,
11.0% of the searches involving Black drivers and
13.3% of the searches involving White drivers.

Scholars have known about some of the above for years, but you seldom hear about them
substantially on popular media, including social media. The main thing you hear is
is a barrage of propaganda about "more criminal blacks carrying weapons and drugs."
This propaganda barrage does not occur in a vacuum. Russian operatives have been
stoking racial disinformation and propaganda designed to obscure the facts and inflame
racial tensions. Per one detailed study:

But of course not only the Kremlin is at hand. Many are the home grown propagandists
doing the same where black folk are concerned.
