Anansi,
No , connection ! John Mac Arthur 1897 -1978 was one of the wealthiest men in America at the time of his death. He made his fortune in the Insurance business .
If you watch PBS you will see the Donald & Catherine Mac Arthur Foundation as one of the main contributory too their programing.
They give yearly grants in the arts Science etc . Each person gets 100, 000 bucks over a period of years to continue their work in their given fields . I felt it important to post the African Americans who won this year to maybe inspire, others to the possibly of excellence !
Anansi, do I detect a bit of cynicism in you ? LOL

Correction, the Mac Arthur grants are $500,000 dollars, with no strings attached over a period of 5 years, not 100,000 dollars, like I posted ! Anansi, you my brother, have some admirable traits , that I've noticed. You are very curious , always on the look-out for new information, you don't let your pride get in the way of asking questions, you have a scientific bent, & you don't take yourself too serious . At least this is what I have been able too observe for the few months I've been on E.S.R.
