www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB--cIx48hcI found this on You Tube, a audio discussion with a sister who was heading to the Sudan to be a supervisor in an archeological dig. a first from what the host states. Her name is Nubia Wardford. It is was done in 09. I found the discussion to be very interesting in that she talks about ancient Kush & Kemit in terms one rarely finds discussed. History from a Black Women's perspective. This sister is very knowledgeable, & on point with most of what she speaks, I believe ! As a Black man, I found it enlightening , illuminating & provocative . It is in 5 parts which I only posted the first one, which the others can be found on sidebar, enjoy

Anansi, I hope more folks check this You- Tube audio out ! It is wonderful that you have this sister Nubia Wardford doing what she was about too do in the Sudan. I knew she was on her a-game when she discussed in part 1 the prospect of doing underwater archeology after the dam in the Meroe area is build, & the area flooded. That is very advanced thinking about what needs too be done after the area is under water. It is individuals like her & Tony Browder, with the ASA Restoration Project, that is pointing the way that (we) descendants of Africa in America, & the rest of the diaspora should look towards, in the 21centuray, a kind of citizens participatory archeology in the Sudan region, & else where in Africa in order to uncover interpret & preserve this very important history ! Of course with the help of like minded archeologist & the host country.
