Hawass critique...source or link?
I think there is, however I'm not into validation based off what ppl looked like, them having a white person to invalidate the study??..sorry not playing their game, as it is woefully unfair to Black scientists not to mention disrespectful, a study is either valid or not.
Oh BTW Hawass is also critical of the study , but don't get it twisted.. His critique boils down to a non scientific rant and he is still with that Egyptian DNA is not European African or Arab..but Egyptian.
Lol
True dat. It has gotten so pathetic that they have to pull a race card, but that also fails.
Most informed people already have seen the weaknesses in Schuemann's paper. I doubt there is much
denial of those weaknesses, particularly as Schueman et al have already admitted some of them.
The only holdouts now are the embittered types whose claims have been roundly debunked for years.
Hence knee-jerk denialism, and tired "repetitionism" tactics, as if that will reverse the verdict.
Keita is a solid recognized scholar with much more credibility than random type "HBD" commenters or
so-called "native Egyptians" (some bogus fronts) on the web. If their laughable dodge is to pull a
race card and say: "We can't look at Keita because he is black"- they have already failed off the bat
and their line of "logic" only underscores an utter lack of credibility.
But in any event Keita is not even the primary author I think. First guy is Gourdine, then Keita,
then Anselin. Both Gourdine and ANselin already have some publications in the field. So again, on
count 2- the knee-jerk denialists have failed. FOr example:
"Alain Anselin provides more elements to demonstrate that Egypt was not isolated from its African roots but that it was part and parcel of its neighbouring African communities. The chapter describes what is termed the Saharo-Nubian cultural antecedents of the Egyptian Predynastic culture; both material and immaterial features shared by Egyptian and African cultures and ascribing the commonalities to migrations and contact in the general area from the desert to the Nile Valley. The artefacts considered include headrests that are known in many cultures of Africa, among the Cushitic, Nilotic, Bantu,Zande and Dogon, and a religious staff/emblem shared by the pastoral Saharo-Nubian hinterland of the early Egyptian cultures and Predynastic civilisation, the Egyptian civilisation itself, and contemporary North East African shepherds. In the realm of immaterial culture, language is considered and similarities in words associated with religion, ritual and the mind are discussed. Anselin suggests that ‘the Egyptian vocabulary reflects a lengthy ancient pooling of cultural features from Chadic-speakers and Nilo-Saharan speakers, shepherds of the Western Sahara’ (p. 49). He also suggests ‘that the earliest speakers of the Egyptian languages could be located to the south of Upper Egypt’(p.50)"

Another scholar who questions Schuemann is K Godde, who has published several
papers in the field as well, such as her Nubian population data. Godde is as white as they come-
so strike 3- denialists fail pitifully again. Godde by the way warns about sweeping conclusions
made with limited sampling, as in Schuemann's study- particularly when there is so much
other contrary data contradicting its conclusions- not opinion pieces by someone but hard evidence.
Quote:
"A recent article that examined the genetics of Egyptian mummies suggests great early contact with the Near East near this formative time (Schuenemann et al., 2017), but the results must be viewed with caution as only 151 individuals from a single site were examined, and thus making broad conclusions across Egyptians as an entire population is premature."

If Keita was out of the picture, it would not change the final verdict in the slightest.
Hell, even Hawass, Mr Conservatism hisself is on dey case, so when they play their standard
(and bogus) "political correctness" card- that fails too. ! LMAO!
