Stuart Smith, Black Pharaohs? Egyptologist bias , racism, & Egypt & Nubia as African Civilizations. This again is a product of the Hutchins center, they have quite a lot of useful scholastic "mainstream" information on there , with which one can use as a supplement to independent scholorship . It's over an he and half long, I haven't seen all as yet, so I won't comment on the outcome till later, If you have views this before, pls go ahead and share your thoughts..it's 4 days old.

Ok saw the whole thing, Skip blessed his heart still struggling with the ancient Egyptians being " Black" according to their art, I wished one of the contributors would tell him, and the Stuart professor actually did, that, the Egyptians painted their subjects in a variety of skin tones, "Nubians" were sometimes painted black and reddish brown, but more importantly the Nilots are among the blackest people in the planet, other gradients would litterly pale before them.
All are Nile valley folks, all showed up in Ancient Egyptian art as both Egyptians and none Egyptians.

Yes 'Skippie" is a bit behind the curve. It was the white guy, Egyptologist Stuart Tyson Smith that laid out the most useful info.

A lot of white people are finally admitting the Ancient Egyptians were black. It would be foolish to think otherwise. Where else do people wear lions and tigers fur, but in Africa? Where else do people braid and dread their hair, Africa. Even EA Wallis Budge, the early 20th century egyptologist, believed that at the very least their religion came from Africa.

Dunno know about the tiger fur thing unless imported, that's more of a South Asian thing, and braids and even dreads are common enough, however there are much better info concerning the Africanity of the AEs,that cannot be easily be dismissed.

The tiger fur would indeed be Indian/Asian using the tiger from India. From the African side there would be animal fur from big cats is African, such as the panther tails worn in the various religious ceremonies of NE Africa close to Egypt and found in Egyptian religion. recap for the lurkers.. This info has been out there for decades but Skippy has no clue..
