www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhETlpj5I-kThis is the film that started my love for khemt as a young boy back in 1954. Yes, they are white actors, but the film is superb ! The accuracy & details are amazing, even for Hollywood. They had an Egyptologist on the set & all times, too make for sure they had it right. The women dancing in the opening scene is a sister ! The story is Sinuhe, set in the New Kingdom, instead of the old kingdom ,when the story was written, with Akhenaten as the back story. If they could make a film today with the same production value with black actors( such as what Will Smith wants to do), it would it would be simply revolutionary, & things would never be the same ! Look past the white actors (if possible) & you might see what I saw as a youth, watching it in the new cinemascope format & stereophonic sound.
