Egyptian Divinities: The All Who Are The One By Moustafa Gadalla

"So many phrases are being used throughout the world, which consistently state that the human being is made in the image of God; i.e., a miniature universe; and that to understand the universe is to understand oneself, and vice versa.
Yet no culture has ever practiced the above principle like the Ancient Egyptians. Central to their complete understanding of the universe was the knowledge that man was made in the image of God, and as such, man represented the image of all creation.
Accordingly, Egyptian symbolism and all measures were therefore simultaneously scaled to man, to earth, to the solar system, and ultimately to the universe."

Great tread ! Hermetic Axiom :" Whats Above Is Below" ! It is for a reason that the ancient people of the world esp. the Greeks said that the Egyptians along with the Ethiopians(Kushites) were" the most pious of men". I believe, that for there civilization to have lasted for thousands of years, their had to be a profound understanding of the cosmos (God(s) & moral order( Ma'at ). After we have studied the physical & racial make up of Khemt & Kush, it would serve us well, to study the deep & profound spiritual & metaphysical knowledge of our ancestors . A book that I like that can shed some light on these matters for the general reader is, Ancient Future: The Teaching & Prophetic Wisdom Of The Seven Hermetic Laws Of Ancient Egypt, by Wayne B. Chandler, with Introduction by Ivan Van Sertima. There are many books out there, along with some teachers, that can help one to understand & integrate the spiritual truths of the (Kemetians) Egyptians . I hope to see more such topics on ESR !

The Instruction for King Merikare
"Provide for people, the herd of God. For their sake he made the sky and the earth; for them he drove away the darkness of the waters; he made the air of life so that they might breathe. They are his likeness, who came from his flesh."

For their sake he made the sky and the earth; for them he drove away the darkness of the waters; he made the air of life so that they might breathe. They are his likeness, who came from his flesh." Thought Writes: One translation of Medu Netcher states that people are the "likeness" of God and another uses the word the "image". Is anyone familiar with this instruction? Can someone tell me the actual Kemetic word used as a basis for these translations? thanks.

-this is where man started to think he was superior and instead of paying homage to nature he started making giant statues of himself
