I have completed part II in a series dedicated to the Ankh symbol. In this latest work I believe I have discovered what is the actual inspiration behind the ankh design. I explore my hypothesis in detail in this work. It is my belief, based on the evidence presented in this work, that the ankh symbol was inspired by the human thorax responsible for the respiration process.
