Though not a Republican, I am a black who is right of center politically and I have to say that what hurts black Republicans the most is their hypocrisy. They get around whites Republicans and parrot everything they're told only to go home and talk bad about these same whites. the other thing is that they don't seem to have an agenda of their own, they shouldn't have to wonder why they get called Uncle Toms because their actions look as though they follow orders and don't present and press issues.

I have some conservative positions and I have some liberal positions I try and find a balanced view I guess I could be considered an independent..however the way the Republican have been acting is shameful and their point man really need to drop the homeboy shtick and get serious but in the end it's not really the party it is your stand.".Dems"seems to me a bunch of insert curse words who although being in the majority have a hard time getting anything done and constantly gets pushed around by anyone with a microphone..the oil spill should be political fodder for the Dems to make use of but they can't ...why because their point man none other than POTUS went against his own conviction not more than 2~3 wks ago and backed, off-shore drilling..just because the Rebs were chanting drill baby drill since during and after the election..and the Dems while not as corrupt corporate sell-outs as the Rebs they are pretty darn close.

Yes Colin Powell would have been better I guess but he damage himself with his dry Anthrax presentation during the run-up for the Iraqi invasion and he was waay too tight with Bush.

I think Powell got taken for a ride by Bush, but when he realized what was going on he left, he didn't continue on with the lies.

I was a Black Republican before, President Obama was nominated, I was duped by the seeming Unity of America right after 911. In about 2006 that was gone and the racist were out and about as usual especially after Obama was nominated. While I am still socially conservative I have moved just right of center.
