Yup, adapt or die, that's basically it, the new economy is already here, manual labor is on it's way out, muscles of the mind is gonna be the thing, but I sense most folks know that already, but being prepared for it is another thing. what did the lives of horse and cart operators looked like after the automobile. BTW there is one political figure running for President that sought to address this issue him being from silicon Valley. [ Andrew Yang is running for President of the United States as a Democrat in 2020. His platform includes the Freedom Dividend as a bold policy the country must adopt as it transitions through economic uncertainty in the face of large-scale labor automation.] www.yang2020.com/Klik here ^ for his platform. I seriously doubt if anyone will actually take his idea tho, he have an up hill battle ,corporate America as it now stands, ain't tryna hear that.

Anansi,I'm not sure if you were able to check this interview with Joi Ito out...yes, AI is here & growing by leaps & bounds..but what really caught my attention & this is not the 1st time I've heard this but Joi ito really lays it out with some concerns are these algorithms that are being programmed by bias unconscious races intent( by mostly white & male input) & outcomes..they will be as they are beginning to now monitor peoples everyday lives with Black & Brown people being the the ones who will be monitored by AI & the raciest input or unconscious bias..this is very dangerous ..this is what I got Joi Ito wants us all to address before it get to intrusive with AI making decisions about guilt or innocent decision...he wants a more robust discussion not just among techies but the American people to be at the table about where all this should go...I totally agree ...you have all these young mostly white males designing this stuff( AI) that don't have a clue about the real world that we live in esp the race dynamics that really is the backdrop to every thing in America...! Also gene slicing the "crisper" designer babies & people very scary !! As far as Andrew yang never heard of him ! Asians have a hard time in America..still seen as " other " & with China on the rise & growing distrust of China..he will have a hard row to ploy..also Asian's have not really been on the forefront on the issue of race & wealth inequity ...no real visible out there voices..I see more Indian American's raising there voices on the subject in congress.. in fact Obama had many Indian American in his administration ..also more folks of the Mid-eastern folks are now beginning to show up & take part in American politics..but lets see what happens...it will be a very interesting year ahead !!
