I was shown by this random guy online that this infamous scene from the thirteenth century Manuscript, “Cantigas de Santa Maria“, actually depicts an Almohad Caliph by the name of Abu Hafs Umar al-Murtada, rather than a local Andalusian Ruler. I’m wondering if there are any verified information concerning this image, besides a vague description of the scene from yours truly, Wikipedia? Here’s the scene. It could be, I'm not sure if he was was of slave origins, his mother being a Norse slave??,or maybe I'm confusing him with someone else, however many of the rulers were of partial or wholly European ancestry, I wouldn't be surprised.

Interesting. So, your saying that he could be of actual Eurasian ancestry? I thought so. I needed confirmation whether this was actually the case, because I had seen Berber Nationalists attempting to present this image as representing the Moors. There’s even Amazigh fan art of this Sultan. Source: www.artstation.com/imadlmn

I wouldn't be surprised that many of the rulers of Moorish Spain were rather pale skinned, like this guy: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abd_al-Rahman_IIIThey seemed to have a habit of taking European wives. That obviously doesn't imply that those who weren't a part of the elites looked the same (ie pale), but some mixing probably happened among the other Moors who weren't at the top of their society also. That's usually what happens when you invade another country/nation.
