Vincent Brown is a outstanding author & has written a book that has received much acclaim called Tacky's Revolt , never really heard of this war of the British but he has laid out some treads about a war within a war involving West Africa & the slave revolts in the Caribbean, that seems to have been missed by others..This is why for me that the more Black folks in these fields will wield more missed or deliberately ignored history by white scholars, is so important.. I have seen this brother in documentary's & have a few with him in my collection..he's at the top of his Game...

Serendipity was about to post this.lol or" Synchronicity."... I've checked it out now twice was going for a third time..but got interrupted ..lol His talk with his colleague was for me mesmerizing..he is pointing towards the future with his prescription for a new History of Africa & The America..that give me chills... I thought about you while I was checking it out ..is this a book you will read..? & what can you share of your own understanding of this history which I know you are very aware of...I know bits & pieces but Dr. Vincent Brown has taken it to another level.. I was reminded of a PBS series I saw a while back called the Long Song

No I saw the Doc, although every J-can knew his history. Not sure I understand , you said every Jamaican knows this history...? or is he bringing in fresh information & context to make a more complete picture not only for Jamaicans but for this history as a whole...?

Informative and diverse in not just focusing on US slavery occurences but other sections of the African Diaspora too.
