I've decided to place this here, because no other category seemed fitting for this type of post. I suppose you could argue that it fits the Egyptology section as many threads focused on Egyptology can be found on the original site.
As it currently stands the original Egypt Search Forums site is not accessible, and it hasn't been for around a month. I know that during the summer, there was more than one temporary closure due to disk space exceeding, but this one seems to be the longest ever experienced, and I fear that the site will remain in this unusable state.
Is there anything that can be done to get the old site back? Reloaded isn't bad, but hundreds of old and foundational threads and discussions on African history can only be found on the old site. Has anyone here been able to contact the owner of the site, or perhaps mods like Punos Rey and Askia?

^ That's a good question. I too have been expecting the forum to come back up though I haven't yet contacted the web master which I will do now. If money is the issue, I don't mind donating some to purchase bandwidth space. But if not, I think the forum should be kept up as a type of web archive because as you say there is a lot of invaluable data and info posted there for no one able to just not see anymore.
