Metatron gives his view of who the Moors were Metatron's view is that the Moors who conquered Spain were Arabs, Berbers and Black Africans Others may claim that only Berbers were Moors not Arabs. True or false?

Arabia Petrea was also a Roman political unit, province, from the the second century Provincia Arabia Petraea Ἐπαρχία Πετραίας Ἀραβίας العَرَبِيَّة الصَخْرِيِّة Arabia PetraeaMap of Arabia Petraea (from Wiki)There's a difference between the region of Arabia Petraea which is the stony desert area of northern Arabia as a whole and the Roman Province of Arabia Petraea also known as Roman Nabataea. The kingdom of Nabataea which was annexed by Rome was also called 'Petraea' after its capital Petra which the Greeks defined as 'stone' but the Semitic definition of that word is 'prima' as in 'first' in the feminine since the Nabateans (and other Arab tribes) considered it the 1st of their cities and even 'mother of cities' (Umm al-mudun) which interestingly is the same epithet given to Bakka in the Quran which is identified with modern Mecca. Indeed the oldest mosques have their qiblas pointing to Petra. Note the glaring discrepancy with the Siege of Damascus as described by the monk John of Damascus that took place in AD 634 claiming the conquest was done by someone claiming to be a prophet of God even though the traditional date of Muhammad's death is AD 632. John says the invaders came from the southwest. As to the early populations of early Arabia, I've discussed it before in ES with the thread African Kush vs. Arabian Cush, and I'm afraid I'll have to repeat that here when I have the time since I currently only have time to make shorter posts. Maybe this weekend.
