I have Von Wuthenau's Unexpected Faces and, true, some portraiture does seem likely to be of subjects not indigenous to the western hemisphere. But is there some proposition that induced phenotypical variability is limited to Africans and inapplicable when it comes to other peoples of other continents?

Anansi
Man some of these statues I have NEVER seen before. Thanks for this. It really puts in perspective the whole Olmec civilization. It seems they had contact with Africans to some degree or another. Keep putting Work Brada.
Peace

No and that's why I did not came right out and said they were Africans /Europeans and west Asians a position I once held as fact until I knew better, but if the variations aroused in the Americas.. isn't that a bit short time wise? If they came from multiple origins then the variations would fit better imo..btw I would love to get my hands on that book.

Peace If Von Wuthenau and Van Sertima are correct then they had contacts with Europeans and west Asians as well.

What it is incredible is that they haven't established is this foreign influence affected the natives culture.
