Greetings Phamily Some days ago I mentioned that I was going to be selling my eBook collection on DVD. I have finally organized what I am going to put on the dvd and you can see the categories online at the following link. Okay, I got it in somewhat of an order. Here is how it is currently organized. www.asarimhotep.com/documentdownloads/Asar_Imhotep_Ebook_List.pdfThis dvd will NOT include the following: * my journal articles * general articles * language dictionaries and grammars * books in french (save for Alain Anselin's PhD dissertation) * pre-publication works * or any works personally given to me by the authors There is a total of 206 books in total. I think this will more than get people up to speed and beyond the finish line as you will see when you view the document list. Many books could be placed in other categories, but this is how I currently have them set up on my computer. So you can rearrange them on your drive as you see fit. There will be a nominal fee for the dvd (plus shipping). Believe me when I say that this collection will save you several thousand dollars. There is one book I paid $200 for and its an ebook. Many of these books I scanned because they are out of print and colleagues couldn't get them over seas. So it is a real collection of work here. Some of them haven't been put into pdf form, but it is easy to do if you have Acrobat Pro. But 98 percent of them you don't have to do this. If you would like to get a copy, (serious inquiries only). $50 plus shipping: www.mochasuite.com/webpayment.htm

"Free" is the "key"! But really how are the scans. Can you give a screen shot of some of the better scans vs the ones that are not so well scanned? Or are they all scanned the same.

The few that are scanned are standard size pdfs. I print them out all the time and they are clear and good. The vast majority are books in standard eBook form where you can copy and search the text. The best way I can describe the few that were scanned is to look at any good Google books doc. It's the same. Again, around 90% are able to be searched and copied unless the authors put added security where you can't copy the text. I know Mark Vygus' Mdw Ntr Dictionary is that way. In the mix I have Gardiner's dictionary and grammar and it is searchable. I also have the 2010 James P. Allen Middle Egyptian Dictionary as well. Most of these books were written after 2000 and came as an ebook version.

Asar, why don't you package your books in xhtml and zip 'em up into ePub(s)? You can lend/sell them to people through their e-reader apps.

Never thought of that. Will seriously consider.
