They can't do a historical accurate story of Exodus because that s888 never happened! ....But that's... none of my business..... They even tried to make us believe Noah was 500 years old when he had his children and 600 years old during the flood. I guess that makes his children 100 years old. They sure didn't look that old in the movie. Failure of the movie or the Bible? biblia.com/bible/esv/Ge5.32-10.1I would say once again a failure of Hollyweird. For one thing, I don't think the Bible is literal history. It's metaphor. Quite often the numbers have a symbolic meaning. For example, consider the amount of times 40 is used. It rained for 40 day and 40 nights, the children of Israel wandered in the desert for 40 years etc. These numbers have a deeper symbolic meaning. It's the message of the story that is significant. Trying to make it into literal histroy misses the point. However, I guess casting decided that a 500 yr old man and his 100yr old kids wouldn't be sexy enough to sell tickets at the box office....

that was on tv yesterday what about it? Just the fact that the white audience get the same vibe from the trailer, I assumed they wouldn't even recognise the controversy. Here's a thought. Why doesn't someone make a movie about Queen Elizabeth the first with a cast made up entierly of people of color? Well get some Asians, Latinos, Afro Americans, all A list actors to play the rolls. How many people do you think will suspend disbelief and just admier the acting talent and the story? I think we all know the answer.

One would think in 2014 we would see a more color friendly ancient Egypt , but No. It's the same old white people parading around as Africans, & Hebrews. The director Ridely Scott should know better, but as one can see by the trailer he does not !
Good to be back !

Lol can we ask Tyler Perry to try something ?? looool kiddin But someone like the world renown cinematic director, Spike Lee, could get on board. Who remembers MJ's music video to remember the time; I found this video very refreshing, this was a great attempt for an Ancient Egyptian short-film, the amateur crops on the music video were far more fitting than the ones seen on the Exodus trailer. Whilst Iman, the Famous Somali Model, played the queen of Egypt and Eddie played the Pharaoh, I just felt inspired by the casting, that its enough to praise the director. (although I wished Arsenio Hall played the pharoah, he would have look more like an akhenaten than eddie does ).

Posted by journeytothesource: Yet again, Hollywood has depicted the ancient Egyptians as White in the movie Exodus: Gods and Kings, despite all of the objective evidence against this ridiculous notion. Directed by Ridley Scott of Gladiator fame, and staring Joel Edgerton as the Egyptian pharaoh Ramesses, and Christian Bale as the prophet Moses. It is an interpretation of the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt as led by Moses and related in the Old Testament Book of Exodus. Joel Edgerton who plays the Egyptian pharaoh Ramesses couldn’t be more European, looking as though he would be more at home playing a role in a Polish movie than one about a North African king. He simply looks absurd and way out of place, at least to the honest and educated. What’s more none of the other Egyptians in the movie appear to be Black, although admittedly, I haven’t seen the full movie yet. This epic has a top line up too, and also stars the likes of Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley, and by the looks of it no money has been spared in the production of this trash. I’ve attached a couple of videos, one of the trailer, and the other is my very own emphatically showing that the ancient Egyptians were actually Black Africans. THE HOLLYWOOD FANTASY
THE HISTORICAL REALITY!

WOW!!!!, White people crack me up with their blatant theft of History. So now we are to believe that Egypt a Hot Country in Africa, was home to euros who wore armor from the romans time and whites who ran around baked in the sun? I'm glad SOME Whites aren't oblivious to the disrespect and blatant at that. You can't hope on whites changing, so you gotta put the leg work in yourself. Black People gotta create their own movies and not be fearful of losing money...This is the way people learn these days. Sadly not with books, but with pictures and videos...So use them to your advantage. Africans like Angola are doing their own movies so why can't AA's do the same? It seems though that Black Rich rather horde their wealth for themselves, then do something of value for it. Their could be real good movies on Black history that is not being shown simply because of "fear" "greed" etc. None want to put themselves on the line and bend over and take the heat to free the people and support knowledge for Black children. I will watch that video of fans who see the bias.

Who is the "they"!! I am reasonably certain that black folks did not write produce direct any of the above, and I as well thought Hiemdall was miscast.but unlike 100yrs of movie making pop mags and illustration that turned any classical African civilizations as alabaster white doesn't compare. It may surprise you to know that the Arthurian legends is spiced with Black characters. The Romance of Morien. Morien is a metrical romance of about five thousand lines extant in a single 14th century Dutch manuscript of the Lancelot Like Saint Maurice, the name “ Morien ” is derived from the word “Moor”. Morien is the son of Camelot’s Sir Agloval and a Moorish princess with whom he had aliaison while questing in the Land of the Moors. Thirteen years later Morien, now a self-made knight, seeks his father to rescue his mother who has been disinherited. Morien’s overall blackness and resemblance to the devil are recurrently emphasized inthe text. He is called o “black as a raven” (Weston, 8). o “ black as pit ch” and black as burnt brands” (Weston, 10). And though Morien is Christian, Sir Gawain “deemed that [he] was a devil” (Weston, 8). And, the common folk “deemed they had seen the Foul Fiend himself” (Weston, 23). In England, Morien meets and challenges Lancelot and Gawain, and eventually gainstheir goodwill by promising to behave courteously (since he behaved “savagely” at their first meeting). He has a few adventures, and …Ultimately unites with his father, Agloval. They return to the Land of the Moors, where Agloval weds Morien’s mother and proclaims her the Queen of the Moors. www.academia.edu/2494445/_Black_in_Camelot_Africans_in_Arthurian_Legend_Revised_2013-05-14_So as far as having Black characters in Arthurian England and legends that is well within a historical reality.
