The biblical storyline of Ancient Egypt and the Jewish exodus. Nothing has changed from the Noah phenomenon What do you think of the cast and the setting ? It has a very Roman feel I'm guessing we'll all agree it lacks a realistic approach to the "area" of the biblical storyline. Since it's Hollywoodm I'm not very surprised by it

noah was a unbiblical pagan movie if the same people that made noah are making this one too it will be the same
hollywood is a bunch of atheist commies and they are doing these things to make $$$ so they will not be sticking to historical accuracy if they feel it doesnt make them enough $$

More likely I will wait and stream it on line.

Just saw the trailer. Wasn't surprised with the inaccurate cast. Is the guy with the beard supposed to be Moses ? If so, why have they got an actor who looks more obviously white European and then for Pharaoh they've got someone who looks racially ambiguous ? If Moses did exist, would it not be likely that he would of been a bit darker looking and more Egyptianized seeing as he had spent his life being raised as an Egyptian.

The architecture is wrong, the costuming is wrong, the topography is wrong, the character development is wrong, (according to the Bible, Moses was very shy and had a speech impediment), the casting is wrong. But when have they ever gotten it right? Why should they start now?

Hollywood will never learn, or just do this on purpose

I also notice they're all wearing the wrong headdresses. Only the king wore the nemes headdress, no one else. It's like making a film about King Arthur and all the pages and servants are wearing crowns. What else? Don't know why Moses is wearing pants, since no one in the ancient world wore pants till the Persians invented them. No Egyptian ever wore armor that looked like that. What else? Palaces were made of mud bricks, not stone, so they didn't have gigantic columns. The usual crap. I'd be surprised if they had bothered to get anything right.

It really disappointing that this was a Ridley Scott movie and big budgeted to boot so they couldn't find a competent adviser?? they just throw everything up like a Los Vegas casino,"sigh" some folks and their fantasies ..

It really disappointing that this was a Ridley Scott movie and big budgeted to boot so they couldn't find a competent adviser?? they just throw everything up like a Los Vegas casino,"sigh" some folks and their fantasies .. But why should we be surprised? Their objective is not reality, history or even spiritual. It's purely financial. Sand, sex and swords, blood and gore, titilation, excitation. It's all about an adrenaline rush. It is what it is. It's what it's always been. If black people really cared, they wouldmake their own movies. You can't tell me that there aren't enough of us with the capital to do it, they simply don't care to.And bet you a whole bunch of black folks are going to be in the front row stuffing their face with popcorn and eating it all up. Whatever happened to the Will Smith flick? We have to get to the place where we tell our own stories and stop waiting for someone who never cared to do it for us, plain and simple. Instead of us worrying about the White man's bullshit, we need to take our kids to Egypt so they can have a look around. Even after thousands of years of mixing it's plain to see they don't look like them folks in the movies and by the time you get to Luxor baby, it's blatantly clear Egypt is in Africa. At the same time, by being educated successful black folk, we help to dispell the negative stereotypes created about us. Things will never change till we change them and people will not look at us differently until we look at ourselves differently, change the way we appear in the world and educate by our presence, words and deeds. So, no, this type of shit doesn't phase me one bit, because everywhere I go, I'm an ambassador and a teacher. You can't hang around me and be stupid 'cause wheather you like it or not, you gonna be schooled and I'm glad to do it.

They even tried to make us believe Noah was 500 years old when he had his children and 600 years old during the flood. I guess that makes his children 100 years old. They sure didn't look that old in the movie. Failure of the movie or the Bible? biblia.com/bible/esv/Ge5.32-10.1

Watch this recent Review of the film, pretty much the same views we share, white folks are not oblivious to the issue, especially in comparison to the Lone Ranger.

Just the fact that the white audience get the same vibe from the trailer, I assumed they wouldn't even recognise the controversy.
