What about those who argue that this is Waardenburg Syndrome? Obviously it not all waardenburg syndrome, but it's still uncommon among dark skinned folks once in a while one may get a streak of blond among black folks without it being linked to albinism this is very common among Pacific Black folks.

I know but I needed evidence to prove it. Talking to a typical person without evidence to back it, is like talking to a brick wall.

And a great contribution indeed. Post as much as you want. As you can see this is one of the more popualr threads. Looking at the hit counts. You can open your own thread if you want. Keep posting. If you read the opening blues eyes are found from South Africa to North Africa. The point of the graph above to to show, yes, Waard Syndrome and SOME blue eyes are caused by different genes. Researchers are still unable to deterrmine what causes blue eyes. Some claim OCA2, others claim another gene. Waard Syndrome has other symptoms besides blue eyes eg white patchy hair, learning disability, deafness, etc. Point is whatever causes blue eyes...the phenotype and genetype originated in Africa...Same as the genotype for white skin. Here's my contribution: View AttachmentI got more if anyone wants to see them...

They look like perfectly healthy Bantus to me...I could be wrong. Fact is blue eye gene originated in Africa and the phenotype is found in indigenous Africans. Here's my contribution: View AttachmentI got more if anyone wants to see them...

_ The lady on the end is a depiction of the Afro-Brazilian Saint know as Anastasia Escrava. She was known for her beauty and her Blue eyes, she was a stolen princess from West Africa.

Interesting that the Africans have bright crystal blue eyes, where as the mixed people tend to have darker eyes.

Nice Pic! So I come across one of the pictures of an African child with blue eyes and I get this: Africa | 'Theuns ~ The Boy with the Sapphire Eyes'. Maramani Communal Area, Southwest Zimbabwe | ©Vanessa Bristow, March 2010 | No this has NOT been photoshopped ~ it is genuine and he is likely to represent a case for Ocular Albinism or Nettleship-Falls albinism, or Juvenile uveitis. Both conditions cause the pigment of the iris to be less dense. Of course it is just as likely that he has Caucasian relatives somewhere back in his family tree.
I guess this logic is on the same level as the "Waardenburg" syndrome, no? Anybody have any legit info on Nettleship and Juevenile uveitis? I would look on my own but I doubt I'll get the truth.
